Library-cum-Learning Centre

The Library-cum-Learning Centre of Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University serves as the academic backbone of the institution. Established alongside the university, the library is designed to meet the research and academic needs of students, faculty, and scholars specialising in sports science, physical education, exercise science, sports medicine, and allied disciplines.

The library follows an open-access system, allowing users to browse and access resources directly from the shelves. It is managed under the University Grants Commission guidelines and subscribes to national and international e-resource platforms to provide digital access beyond physical boundaries.

Library Services

Book Lending

Registered members can borrow books as per their entitlement. Students (UG/PG) may borrow up to 3 books for 14 days; research scholars and faculty up to 5 books for 30 days.

Reading Room

A dedicated reading room with adequate seating, good lighting, and a quiet environment is available for students and scholars for in-house study and reference reading.

Reprography

Photocopy and printing facilities are available within the library at nominal charges, strictly for academic and research purposes in compliance with copyright norms.

Reference & Literature Search

Library staff assist users in locating relevant books, journal articles, and online resources. Guidance is provided on using OPAC, N-LIST, and research databases effectively.

Current Awareness

New arrivals in books and journals are displayed at the library entrance and updated on the notice board. Users can also subscribe to email alerts for new additions.

Internet & Wi-Fi

High-speed internet access and Wi-Fi are available inside the library premises to support e-learning, online database browsing, and digital research activities.

Library Rules

  • Valid university ID card is mandatory to enter and use the library.
  • Silence must be maintained inside the library at all times.
  • Mobile phones should be kept on silent mode. Calls are not permitted inside.
  • Books must be returned on or before the due date to avoid a fine of ₹2 per day per book.
  • Loss or damage to library material will be charged at replacement cost plus a penalty.
  • Personal belongings such as bags and laptops (other than for study) must be deposited at the entrance.
  • Food and beverages are strictly not allowed inside the library.
  • Marking, underlining, or writing in library books is a serious offence.
  • Membership is non-transferable. Library cards must not be shared.
